Wouters' Front - A Family Tradition
It all started back in 1965 when Gary and Judy Wouters purchased the 616 Club in Green Bay, WI. For several years this was the stomping ground
for many of Green Bay's top fast-pitch softball teams, especially friends and family of the champion 616 Club softball team. Gary "Joe" Wouters
was both a player and manager on the team from 1958 to 1973. The 616 Club was the first in a line of several taverns owned and run by Judy and
Gary Wouters including The Abbey Bar in 1974, Pulper's Pub in 1977, The Office Lounge in 1977, and Pla-Mor Lounge in 1988. In keeping with their
love of softball, sports and the tavern business, they purchased Wouters' Front Tavern and Softball Park (Bill Sundell Memorial Park) in 1974.
Over the years, the Wouters' children became more involved in the business, everything from ball diamond maintenance to bartending. Following in
the shoes of their parents, in 2001 Mike and Jim Wouters embarked on their own journey, taking over the reins of the family business. It started
with Wouters' Front in 2001, Wouters' Front II in 2003 and finally they opened Wouters' Sports Bar & Grill in 2009. Wouters' Sports Bar and
Grill offers the "down home family feel" that allows you to mingle with friends and family, while enjoying a good meal and cold beverage in a
relaxing environment. Come be part of our family!
